Adam Billing

Adam is the founder of Treehouse Innovation.  He has spent most of his career working with companies to design new products, services and strategies; and to develop their own internal innovation capability.

 
Formerly with Ernst & Young Consulting, Adam has led numerous innovation projects and design events for all types of organisations.  He is a frequent lecturer on design thinking on Cambridge University executive education programmes, and has designed and delivered learning programmes with leading business schools including, Imperial College London, Rice University, Georgia Tech and others. He is also a Partner at the The Møller PSF Group at Cambridge University.

Duncan Brannan

Duncan is a user-centred designer, artist, and versatile facilitator. He began his career as a systems analyst and developer in London and the Netherlands for PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consultancy Service, and later turned his attention to fine arts. He currently runs his own fine art painting practice.

Recently, Duncan has worked within a UK local authority, developing relationships with artists and politicians to facilitate arts projects that deliver against political agendas. He has worked on projects in the financial services, pharmaceuticals, human resources, higher education and local government sectors across Europe and the Middle East. He is degree educated in Psychology & Philosophy from Durham University, and Fine Art from the University of Kent. He continues to paint. 

Nathan Waterhouse

Nathan has setup and run four new businesses at world renowned design and innovation firm IDEO, he’s seen first hand what it takes to bring new things into the world. 

He has facilitated workshops with hundreds of participants and led organisation design programs that have helped shift the innovation strategy for 250 year old organisations such as Generali and helped design startup incubator for Europe called HackFWD. He has worked with clients such as HP, IKEA, T-Mobile, VISA, Oxfam, SONY to help them to innovate. 

Whilst at IDEO, Nathan co-founded OpenIDEO.com, a social impact community of over 150,000 people across 190 countries that collaborate online to tackle big systemic challenges. He also co-founded and was CEO of the collaborative innovation platform OI Engine.He is an experienced public speaker and has delivered keynotes at TEDx, The Economist events, and the White House on topics such as the role of Design, Innovation and Collaboration. 

Teodora Nikolaeva

The newest addition to our team, Teodora, is a graphic / UI designer, who specialises in branding and front-end development. Over the last eight years she had worked on a wide range of projects for number of marketing and advertising companies.

Her responsibilities involve creating and maintaining the company websites and marketing assets. She is also a part of the team behind our Sprintbase application.

Lover of all things design, Teodora has naturally taken to Design Thinking and is integrating the process into her workflow as an everyday problem solving solution.

Brian McAuliffe

Brian brings over a decade of game design and agile product development experience to our team.   He is a BAFTA award-winning producer with a credits on blockbuster titles including the The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, Harry Potter to the BBC’s celebrated Doctor Who games.

In his work with Treehouse, Brian is now drawing on this design and production experience to help people and teams from across industries be more creative in their work and apply the fundamentals of effective game design to create better user experiences.  He leads usability testing for Sprintbase, and is also an accomplished heavy metal vocalist.

Kirsty McPherson

Kirsty is the Operations Manager at Treehouse Innovation.  She is also in charge of event management, and is knowledgeable about digital user experience and social media strategy.

Before joining the Treehouse team, Kirsty worked for leading digital agencies including AKQA and LBi on a diverse set of client projects in sectors ranging from banking to automotive. Prior to this, she worked as an event manager for a major corporate accounting regulatory body where she organized large-scale events in the UK, Europe and Asia. 

Steve Baker

Steve is an expert facilitator and design thinking specialist.  He loves helping leaders build organisations that will make the world a better place: designing and making great products and services, providing rewarding careers and creating value for owners by solving the problems that societies face. He has spent the last seven years working in Australia, New Zealand and across Asia with executives and senior leaders in financial services, travel and aviation, IT, FMCG, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals and many professional services. Key clients have included Accenture, Microsoft, Qantas, Optus, Oracle, Westpac, Woolworths, Janssen and KPMG. With a focus on inspiring, challenging and developing he has worked with teams of 10 to conferences of up to 1000.
 

 

Abigail Hunt

Abigail is an experienced consultant, facilitator and coach specialising in multi-sector innovation, Design Thinking, leadership development and business development. With over 20 year’s experience of working with talented professionals from multiple sectors and geographies, she helps teams to collaborate to:

  • achieve commercial and professional success
  • develop increased creative confidence
  • build cultures of innovation
  • create more innovative services, strategies, processes and products

Her early career was spent as a commercial lawyer (London and Brussels) followed by a focus on developing international alliances, and then a head of client development role. Abigail is an accredited facilitator of the ExperienceInnovation™ and ExperienceChange™ simulations. She is also an Associate at the The Møller PSF Group at Cambridge University.

Kat Agres

Kat Agres received her PhD in Psychology & Cognitive Science from Cornell University in 2012.  Since then, she has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Queen Mary, University of London, where she is a member of the Cognitive Science group and the Computational Creativity laboratory.

Her research explores a wide range of topics, including music cognition, computational creativity, information theoretic modelling of learning and memory, and the evaluation of creativity in humans and artificial systems.​ She has presented her work in numerous countries across three continents, and applies her research outside of the academic sector through consulting for companies across sectors.

 

Garth Olcese

Garth specialises in strategic research, design thinking, innovation systems and technology.  

He is a trained policy analyst and a qualified lawyer, having graduated cum laude with a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.  He has extensive experience in the academic, non-profit, government, and private sectors, working with international clientele, conducting research, aggregating data, leading corporate development programmes and providing legal advisory services. He is also an Associate at the The Møller PSF Group at Cambridge University.

Shannon Deuscher

Shannon is an Associate of Treehouse Innovation. For the last five years, she has served as a process facilitator, project manager, and communications specialist, working frequently with Bridge Innovate, the sister company of Treehouse Innovation based in the US.  Working with a wide-rage of clients and projects, she manages many of the “behind the scenes” activities that make programs and events successful.  In addition, she is an experienced and versatile communications professional who excels at developing compelling, relatable messaging from complex issues to reach key audiences.

Prior to her work with us, Shannon served as Public Affairs Manager for CTIA - The Wireless Association in Washington, D.C.  She currently resides in Berlin, Germany with her husband and enjoys exploring new countries and cultures. 

Alister McPherson

Alister is a technology expert with a 20 year track record of creating software to help companies grow. He specialises in the fields of application design, real-time software communication and distributed systems.  He is responsible for the creation and continual evolution of Treehouse's Sprintbase application.

Previous experience consulting for Microsoft and Accenture then holding Associate Director and Vice President positions at London financial institutions has lead him to work with the Treehouse team.

Julie's broad experience includes leading employee education globally as a Vice President at SAP (the world leader in enterprise software), being a Founding Partner and the US Managing Member of Bridge Consulting International (a performance improvement and education company based in the US and UK), and holding prominent strategic & operational roles in top tier management consulting firms Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini and KPMG.
Julie is a proud mom, fitness enthusiast, active social sector volunteer and avid global adventure seeker.  Julie currently resides in the New York metropolitan area.

He, with a partner founded Unleash Consulting, a low touch high impact consulting service in 2010. They specialise in helping companies achieve sustainable growth and particularly they assist companies that are experiencing decline, to turnaround and become competitive in their markets. Keith is also a Professional Associate of the Gordon Institute of Business Science, the Number 1 business school in Africa.

Keith has worked with Treehouse for many years and is a leader in the effort to introduce design thinking in Southern Africa.

Kevin Poole

Kevin Poole is a high-impact senior executive with 29 years of experience in developing and delivering consulting services and technology-based solutions to Fortune 500 and Mid-Market companies. 
He has held top senior leadership positions at General Electric, Ernst & Young Consulting, and later Cap Gemini where he served as West Area Director and then National Sales Leader for the United States.  He is a widely respected turnaround expert – highly skilled in the areas of strategy, leadership, team development, and complex problem solving, with deep expertise in the Professional Services and High-Tech sectors.  

Ilian Iliev

Ilian is CEO and founder of EcoMachines Ventures, a London-based accelerator that supports innovative solutions to global problems by investing in promising technology companies and actively supporting their growth into world class high-growth enterprises. Prior to EcoMachines Ventures, Ilian founded and was CEO of CambridgeIP Ltd, a leading technology and IP strategy company.
